“A View From Within”
Living Daily With Fibromyalgia and Other Chronic Illnesses
This is a 9 week educational workshop from the perspective of people living with chronic illness and their support networks.
The workshop will be a safe, supportive, educational environment to discuss how people living with chronic physical or mental illnesses can find our pathway to healing and a quality of life that is right for us.
We’ll discuss topics such as:
- After the diagnosis
- Coping with losses and changes
- The ‘ripple effect’ of living with chronic illness
- Communicating our new reality
- The role of hope
- Resources
- Friends, family, and other supports
Chris Swaren, President of the Fibromyalgia Society of Edmonton and Area, will facilitate this workshop, sharing years of personal experience and research/education living with Fibromyalgia and helping others with chronic illnesses.
